九四：丰其蔀，日中见斗，遇其夷主，吉。
小象传
象曰：丰其蔀，位不当也。日中见斗，幽不明也。遇其夷主，吉；行也。
白话
遮蔽的帘幕很厚，正午都能看到北斗；遇到与自己同等的主人，吉。“夷主”指初九。九四阳居阴位，被六五遮蔽，但能与初九相合。小象说：位置不当；幽暗不明；遇到同等的主人而吉，是可以前行。

若你在昏暗中找不到方向，这一爻提示去找志同道合的人。可以想一想：谁能和你一起看清局面？
爻位
九四是阳爻居四位，阳居阴位为不当位；与初爻相应，同为阳爻为无应。
京房纳甲：庚午（火），六亲为妻财。

此爻独动，雷火丰变为地火明夷（第 36 卦）。对应的易林诗：焦氏易林·丰之明夷。
高岛易断占例
丰之明夷：被压抑多年，终于遇到东家：一户豪家的掌柜请占运气，得丰卦九四“丰其蔀，日中见斗，遇其夷主，吉”。高岛说他从前一直被人压抑、不得施展，如今遇到一位出资的东家，可以谋事；只是这位东家生性昏庸，所以叫“夷主”，好在掌柜为人诚实，能得到信任。

T he fourth NINE, undivided, shows its subject in a tent so large and thick that at midday he can see from it the constellation of the Bushel. But he meets with the subject of the (first) line, undivided like himself. There will be good fortune.
'He is surrounded by a screen large and thick:' - the position of the line is inappropriate. 'At midday he sees the constellation of the Bushel:' - there is darkness and no light. 'He meets with the subject of the line, undivided like himself. There will be good fortune:' - action may be taken.
