Hexagram 16, Yù (Enthusiasm): Line 4
豫卦九四 · 雷地豫 · 中文版
九四:由豫,大有得。勿疑。朋盍簪。
The line (Legge)
The fourth NINE, undivided, shows him from whom the harmony and satisfaction come. Great is the success which he obtains. Let him not allow suspicions to enter his mind, and thus friends will gather around him.
Small Image commentary
'From him the harmony and satisfaction come; great is the success which he obtains:' - his aims take effect on a grand scale.
象曰:由豫大有得,志大行也。
In plain words
The source of enjoyment: great gains. Do not doubt, and friends gather like hair held by a clasp. The fourth line is the only yang line in the hexagram, and all the yin lines rely on it. The Small Image says its aims are carried out in a great way.
Applying it to your situation
If people rely on you, this line suggests that sincerity without suspicion draws them together naturally. How could you help those around you feel more at ease?
Position
A solid (yang) line in the fourth place, which is a yin (even) place, so it is not in its proper place. Its partner is line 1; one is yin and the other yang, so they respond to each other.
If this line moves
With this line moving alone, Yù changes into Hexagram 2 Kūn (The Receptive). The Jiaoshi Yilin verse for this change (Chinese): 焦氏易林·豫之坤.
The hexagram
Hexagram 16 Yù (Enthusiasm). The Judgment: Yu indicates that, (in the state which it implies), feudal princes may be set up, and the hosts put in motion, with advantage.
